Appellation d'Origine Contrôlée (A.O.C.) A.O.C. Condrieu.
The production region of A.O.C. Condrieu is located in La región vitivinícola francesa situada en el norte del Ródano, cerca de Vienne y al sur de la Côte-Rôtie. Los viñedos se encuentran en las siete comunas de Limony, Chavanay, Malleval, Saint-Michel-sur-Rhône, Saint-Pierre-de Boeuf, Vérin y Condrieu. Estas comunas se encuentran en los departamentos franceses de Ardèche, Rhône y Loire en las empinadas laderas de las estribaciones del Macizo Central en la margen derecha del Ródano. Las cuatro comunas más meridionales también pueden producir vino bajo el AOC de Saint-Joseph. Los vinos elaborados en este AOC son exclusivamente blancos, de la variedad Viognier, que pueden haberse originado en la región. Dentro de Condrieu se encuentra el enclave AOC de Château-Grillet, que produce vinos que también son 100% Viognier.
