The production region of A.O.C. Mâcon is located in La comarca de Saône-et-Loire en el viñedo de Mâconnais, Borgoña. La denominación incluye 27 nombres geográficos (Mâcon-Loché, Mâcon-Peronne, etc.), así como varios productos (blanco, rosado, rojo). El área es de 1 907 hectáreas con Chardonnay (vino blanco), Pinot Noir y Gamay (vino tinto y rosado) como variedad de uva.
