En 1930 Antoni Capdevila i Pujol adquiere la finca Can Canjon, en el término de Teià (Barcelona). Al 1940 obtiene las primeras botellas siguiendo el método tradicional. Debido al éxito de la empresa, deciden trasladarse a Sant Sadurní donde en 1955 inauguran la Cava Blancher en honor a la esposa de Antonio, Teresa Blancher y Solanes. Actualmente y después de tres generaciones siguen con la misma filosofía, controlar el producto desde la viña para garantizar su calidad.

The production region of D.O. Cava is located in La denominada región del Cava, que comprende fundamentalmente la comarca catalana del Penedés (provincias de Barcelona y Tarragona), donde se encuentra San Sadurní de Noya, el centro de producción más importante. El cava también se elabora en otros 159 municipios de España, de las provincias de Barcelona (63 municipios), Tarragona (52 municipios), La Rioja (18 municipios), Lérida (12 municipios), Gerona (5 municipios), Álava (3 municipios), Zaragoza (2 municipios), Navarra (2 municipios), Badajoz (1 municipio) y Valencia (1 municipio), que en su conjunto configuran la zona de producción denominada Región del Cava.
