Las frías nieblas matinales que aparecen sobre los viñedos de chardonnay al finalizar la vendimia y el viento seco de la tarde son los responsables de la podredumbre noble (botritis) que afecta las uvas con las que se elabora este "Vi de Boira" (de 'niebla'), un vino dulce natural, fresco, muy untuoso y aromático. En copa se presenta con un color oro, unos reflejos ambarinos y una lágrima densa y lenta. La nariz, de hongos y mermelada de naranja amarga. Su entrada en boca es densa y golosa, una boca opulenta y profunda dominada por los cítricos confitados, la miel y los recuerdos de orejones de albaricoque. El jengibre y las flores marchitas acompañan un conjunto aromático profundo que nos transporta directamente a Tokaj. Sus últimos susurros son melosos y especiados, levemente ahumados, de vino grande. Envejecido durante 12 meses en barricas nuevas de roble francés de 400 l. (Limousin, de grano grueso, y Allier, de grano fino, de los bosques de Cognac) de tostado medio.

The production region of D.O. Penedès is located in La región catalana del Penedés, en España. Comprende 47 términos municipales en el sur de la provincia de Barcelona, y 16 términos municipales en la provincia de Tarragona. Se divide en tres subzonas: Penedès Superior, situada en el interior y en la montaña, con escasa producción debido a las condiciones de cultivo, pero de una gran calidad, Penedès Medio, situada al sudeste y la de mayor producción, y Penedès Inferior en la zona costera.
