En 1990, Can Ràfols dels Caus presentó un rosado innovador, con color y reivindicando la uva merlot como protagonista. Hoy, con casi 30 cosechas elaboradas, el ya «clásico» rosado de Carlos Esteva sigue haciéndonos disfrutar a contracorriente, desoyendo la moda de un mar rosa pálido. Gran Caus Rosat es de un bonito e intenso color cereza. En nariz es sereno y definido, con un preciso perfume de fresas, frambuesas y cerezas frescas. En boca es amplio, globoso, sápido y con un final extraordinariamente aromático donde destacan frutas rojas, cítricos y un refrescante toque de menta. Un magnífico rosado con espíritu de tinto y con una gran capacidad de guarda.

The production region of D.O. Penedès is located in La región catalana del Penedés, en España. Comprende 47 términos municipales en el sur de la provincia de Barcelona, y 16 términos municipales en la provincia de Tarragona. Se divide en tres subzonas: Penedès Superior, situada en el interior y en la montaña, con escasa producción debido a las condiciones de cultivo, pero de una gran calidad, Penedès Medio, situada al sudeste y la de mayor producción, y Penedès Inferior en la zona costera.
