En Francia los champagnes rosados están considerados como el producto estrella de muchas bodegas, y éste podría ser también el caso de Can Ràfols dels Caus si no fuese por la mala e injusta fama de la que goza el cava rosado en nuestro país. Si somos capaces de no lo prejuzgarlo por el color que le confiere la noble uva tinta pinot noir con la que se elabora, este espumoso nos conducirá a un placer burbujeante, recordándonos lo mejorcito de la champaña pero con un toque mediterráneo. Envejecido durante un mínimo de 36 meses en botella.

Cava is located in La denominada región del Cava, que comprende fundamentalmente la comarca catalana del Penedés (provincias de Barcelona y Tarragona), donde se encuentra San Sadurní de Noya, el centro de producción más importante. El cava también se elabora en otros 159 municipios de España, de las provincias de Barcelona (63 municipios), Tarragona (52 municipios), La Rioja (18 municipios), Lérida (12 municipios), Gerona (5 municipios), Álava (3 municipios), Zaragoza (2 municipios), Navarra (2 municipios), Badajoz (1 municipio) y Valencia (1 municipio), que en su conjunto configuran la zona de producción denominada Región del Cava.
