El viñedo de Bussia se encuentra en el municipio de Monforte d'Alba, en el límite con la ciudad de Barolo. El vino se produce como cru desde 1961 y desde 1994 la finca pasa a ser propiedad de la empresa. Dentro del área de Bussia, Prunotto ha identificado una hectárea separada del cuerpo principal en un área llamada por los enólogos «Vigna Colonnello». La exposición al oeste-sudoeste, los troncos viejos (alrededor de 35-40 años) y la composición del suelo (donde encontramos 10% de arena, 40% de limo y 50% de arcilla), lo convierten en un viñedo con características muy diferentes en comparación con otros viñedos de la finca.
