Bautizado con el nombre de la antigua colonia griega y actual Empúries, al norte de la costa brava catalana, y presentado en su etiqueta con un pegaso, símbolo de la ciudad en las monedas de la época, Emporion es el vino "mayor" de esta joven bodega ampurdanesa. Un tinto bien criado y con un buen potencial de envejecimiento. Envejecido durante 12 meses en barricas nuevas de roble francés Allier.

The production region of D.O. Empordà is located in La región de Ampurdán (Empordà), hasta 2006 denominada Ampurdán-Costa Brava, abarca la zona vinícola desde la Albera hasta la sierra de Rodas y la Garrotxa de Ampurdán, en España. El área de producción está distribuida en dos subzonas: 35 municipios al norte del Alto Ampurdán y 13 municipios al este del Bajo Ampurdán.
