El Coto de Imaz Gran Reserva es un tinto elegante, complejo y persistente elaborado con uvas de las variedades tempranillo y graciano. Su fermentación y maceración transcurren en tanques de acero inoxidable durante un periodo que va de los 20 a los 30 días, dependiendo de las características de la añada; se busca la extracción justa para asegurar el perfecto equilibro entre fruta y tanicidad. Después, seguirá una crianza de 24 meses en barricas de roble americano y francés y un afinado mínimo de 36 meses en botella. De color rubí brillante y ribete teja que hablan de su edad, El Coto de Imaz Gran Reserva es un vino maduro y elegante, de impactante riqueza aromática. Notas tostadas y de coco, mezcladas con recuerdos de cuero, fruta roja e higos secos dibujan una nariz fascinante. En boca es redondo, de taninos pulidos y sedosos, y retrogusto complejo y persistente. Si le damos tiempo en la copa, crece sin parar, adquiriendo profundidad a cada instante. Forma un maridaje excepcional con el cordero lechal asado o con la caza y acumula multitud de reconocimientos internacionales, tales como 93 puntos en Wine Spectator y Wine Enthusiast, o una medalla de plata en el International Wine & Spirit Competition de Londres.
