The production region of I.G.P. Vin de Pays Rhône is located in La región francesa de Rhône, la región vinícola del Ródano, en el sur de Francia, valle del Ródano. Está dividida en dos subregiones con distintas tradiciones vitivinícolas, el Ródano del Norte, al que se hace referencia como Ródano septentrional y el Ródano del Sur o Ródano méridional. La subregión del norte produce vinos tintos de la uva Syrah, a veces mezclada con uvas de vino blanco, y vinos blancos de las uvas Marsanne, Roussanne y Viognier. La subregión del sur produce una variedad de vinos tintos, blancos y rosados, a menudo mezclas de varias uvas, como en Châteauneuf-du-Pape.
