The production region of A.O.C. Margaux is located in Con eje en la la localidad de Margaux, su principal château (Premier Cru) recibe igualmente su nombre. Contiene 21 Cru Classé châteaux, más que cualquier otra comuna en Burdeos. Las comarcas de Cantenac, Arsac, Soussans y Labarde. Está en la margen izquierda de la Gironda.
