Un vino excelente, fascinante y un auténtico bolgheri. Los orígenes de Castelli di Bolgheri se remontan al 1500, cuando la propiedad pertenecía a los Condes della Gherardesca. Desde entonces el castillo y sus tierras han sido sucesivamente heredados por miembros de la familia y, en la actualidad, pertenece a los Condes Zileri Dal Verme. Fueron ellos quienes en 1997 empezaron a plantar en sus mejores tierras las variedades internacionales típicas de la región de Burdeos. Varvàra se obtiene a partir de un coupage de excelente manufactura: cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc, merlot, syrah y petit verdot. Cada una de las variedades aporta su indispensable contribución al conjunto y, tras 10 meses en barrica, éstas se traducen en un vino equilibrado, afrutado y concentrado, y a su vez muy fácil de beber. De un impenetrable y denso color rojo rubí, emana aromas de frutas rojas y pimienta sobre un agradable fondo mineral. En boca demuestra un gran cuerpo, buena estructura y equilibrio.
