Elaborado a partir de las variedades nero d'Avola (60%) y frappato (40%), el primero envejece en barricas de roble y el segundo en depósitos de cemento. El resultado es un vino rico, pero exquisitamente suave, expresivo y vibrante. En copa presenta un profundo color rojo rubí y unos aromas igualmente profundos: flores secas, frutas rojas, especias, tierra húmeda, sobre un fondo de arbustos y sotobosque mediterráneo. Un bouquet intenso, preciso, pulido y elegante. En boca se presenta consistente, ágil, ligero, grácil en el paladar. Sabroso y estimulante, ofrece una gran variedad de aromas entre los que destacan de nuevo las flores, los frutos del bosque y el tabaco de pipa. Redondo, dotado de un óptimo sabor y una larga persistencia de notas almendradas. Aterciopelado y bien equilibrado, un vino irresistible, tremendamente apetecible.
