The production region of A.O.C. Bordeaux is located in La región francesa de Burdeos, en el suroeste de Francia y que abarca toda el área del departamento de Gironda, con una superficie total de viñedos de más de 120.000 hectáreas, lo que la convierte en la zona vinícola más grande de Francia. Las cosechas medias producen más de 700 millones de botellas de vino de Burdeos, que van desde grandes cantidades de vino de mesa todos los días, hasta algunos de los vinos más caros y prestigiosos del mundo.
