Carme Casacuberta, licenciada en ciencias químicas y enóloga, junto con su marido Antonio Pena, ingeniero industrial, ambos apasionados del vino, enamorados de la naturaleza y movidos por la ilusión, en 2002 inician el proyecto Olivardots al término de Capmany. Dentro de un paraje único y rodeado por 4 hectáreas de viñedo, en 2006 se construye la bodega, de líneas sencillas y modernas, pensado para trabajar con la ayuda de la gravedad, incorporando técnicas modernas pero conservando los sistemas de trabajo de las arraigadas tradiciones. Viñas de Olivardots tiene actualmente 7 hectáreas de viñedo en propiedad.

The production region of D.O. Empordà is located in La región de Ampurdán (Empordà), hasta 2006 denominada Ampurdán-Costa Brava, abarca la zona vinícola desde la Albera hasta la sierra de Rodas y la Garrotxa de Ampurdán, en España. El área de producción está distribuida en dos subzonas: 35 municipios al norte del Alto Ampurdán y 13 municipios al este del Bajo Ampurdán.
