La garnacha es otra de las grandes variedades riojanas, capaz de ofrecer vinos intensos y afrutados como este Valdemar. Con una cierta cremosidad de la crianza, unas notas balsámicas y especiadas y una refrescante acidez, resulta un vino amable, sabroso y muy agradable al paladar. Poco monovarietales de garnacha se encuentran ya en Rioja. Envejecido durante 10 meses en barricas de roble francés.

The production region of D.O.Ca. Rioja is located in Las regiones de las comunidades autónomas de La Rioja y el País Vasco mayoritariamente, y en menor medida de Navarra y Castilla y León. Por la diversidad orográfica y climática se distinguen tres subzonas de producción: Rioja Alta (76 términos municipales en la comunidad autónoma de La Rioja y 1, Miranda de Ebro, en la provincia de Burgos, Castilla y León), Rioja Baja (42 términos municipales en la comunidad autónoma de La Rioja y 8 en Navarra) y Rioja Alavesa (15 términos municipales en la provincia de Álava, País Vasco).
