Nace con una mezcla de Cabernet Sauvingon y Cabernet Franc, cosecha de la solana de Matacans; sólo se elabora los años que consideramos muy buenos o excelentes. Es un vino de producción limitada, situado en la categoría de los mejores vinos de España. Envejecido durante 24 meses en barricas de roble americano. Posterior reposo en botella durante 6 años más.

The production region of D.O. Pla de Bages is located in La comarca del Bages, en la provincia de Barcelona. El área de producción consta de 26 municipios, en el lado oriental de la depresión central de Cataluña. Tiene un microclima mediterráno, de media montaña, protegido por el Prepirineo al norte y la Sierra Litoral al sureste. Se divide en dos zonas: Pla del Bages, la zona más baja del valle y la que se encuentra más próxima a la cuenca, donde la altitud media es de alrededor de 200 m. y Alt Bages, la zona más alejada de la cuenca y por tanto más alta y accidentada. Aquí la altitud media alcanza los 500 m.
