Artigas es, entre los grandes vinos de Mas Alta, el más asequible. Está elaborado mayoritariamente con uvas de garnacha (60%), aunque también de cariñena (25%) y con un pequeño aporte de cabernet sauvignon, criado durante 16 meses en barricas de roble francés, un tercio de las cuales son nuevas, otro tercio de un vino y un tercio de dos vinos. Su personalidad prioratina es evidente, aunque ciertas notas de cabernet hacen dudar a más de uno al principio. Permítanle un poco de aireación y les sorprenderá su intensidad tanto como el contraste entre su potencia, madurez y densidad, y el carácter cítrico y refrescante de su frutosidad (cereza negra, ciruela). Artigas es dulce y balsámico, y a su vez también terroso y mineral. Sin duda, un vino excelente, con una gran expresividad y una sincera invitación a la tipicidad del Priorat. Envejecido durante 16 meses en barricas nuevas (35%), de primer año (30%) y de segundo año (35%) de roble francés.

Es una zona montañosa, de origen volcánico, y con laderas escarpadas, de manera que se cultiva la viña en las características terrazas.
