Juan Gil Etiqueta Amarilla es uno de esos vinos que añada tras añada descoloca a centenares de consumidores. Sin perder la esencia de Jumilla, este tinto murciano se muestra asequible desde sus primeros meses en botella, aunque su buena estructura le augura un futuro prometedor. A la vista habla ya de densidad, pero un ribete rojizo parece prever también cierto frescor. Huele a flores rojas y azules, a regaliz, a granada y cerezas. En boca, después de una buena aireación, se muestra enérgico y complejo, pero también equilibrado, con las maderas (especias y torrefactos) en un papel secundario; parece un bombón de cerezas en licor, con el tacto del cacao, la fruta intensa de las picotas y el fondo licoroso del buen tinto de Jumilla. Parte intenso, fresco, al tiempo que elegantemente amargo. Para la crianza sólo se emplean barricas nuevas, con alto aporte tánico.
