Tipicidad es la palabra que mejor define el Nebbiolo de Giuseppe Cortese, y en realidad todos los vinos de su bodega. Desde los años setenta la bodega ha logrado transmitir una de las mejores expresiones que puede ofrecer el viñedo de Rabajà, dotando sus vinos con el sabor y la elegancia innata de este terroir. El Nebbiolo de Giuseppe Cortese se obtiene de las cepas más jóvenes (entre 15 y 20 años) del viñedo de Rabajà, del que también se sirve la bodega para elaborar su célebre Barbaresco. Tras este tinto de buena estructura encontramos unas uvas de la más alta calidad, procedentes de una de las tierras más apreciadas de las Langhe, y un envejecimiento de 12 meses en barricas de roble de diferentes tamaños, de 17 a 25 hectolitros, y desde nuevos hasta 9 años de edad. En nariz apreciamos aromas de frutos del bosque y violetas, realzados por toques de ruibarbo, regaliz y otros más ligeros de especias. La calidad de la fruta se sitúa en primer plano y se acompaña de un uso muy acertado de la madera, que consigue definir un bouquet sencillo e inmediato, fino y delicioso. De sabor clásico, en boca se muestra cálido, tánico y persistente. En el Nebbiolo de Giuseppe Cortese reconocerán un vino de gran intensidad y delicadeza, un excelente trabajo que revela lo mejor de este gran terroir y sus viñedos.
