Vino insignia de la bodega, el Barbaresco Rabajà nace de uno de los crus más representativos de toda la denominación y es magistralmente interpretado por las manos de Giuseppe Cortese. Un gran Nebbiolo al que la excepcionalidad del terreno otorga un envidiable equilibrio, una elegante expresión y una larga longevidad. Procedente de la vertiente sudoeste de Rabajà, este Barbaresco envejece entre 20 y 22 meses en barricas de roble de Eslavonia, una parte de ellos nuevos y otra parte con edades de hasta 9 años, y se afina otros 9 meses en botella antes de salir al mercado. En nariz abundan las notas de frutos rojos (desecados, en confitura y en licor), sobre un tenue fondo balsámico con recuerdos de cuero y especias. En boca se confirma ese mismo perfil, con unos taninos presentes pero sedosos, con una absoluta armonía y con una persistencia casi infinita. Desde el año 2000 hasta el 2012 Giuseppe Cortese Barbaresco Rabajà ha superado en 11 ocasiones los 90 puntos de Robert Parker y se ha contado muy a menudo entre los finalistas de las catas de Gambero Rosso. Un vino imprescindible para quien se precie de conocer el Barbaresco y, por ende, el vino italiano.
