La sorpresa llega siempre al descubrirse su identidad y así ocurrió con el más humilde de Cortijo Los Aguilares: su complejidad nos dejó asombrados al descubrir que se trataba de un Tinto Joven, sin crianza en barrica. Cortijo Los Aguilares Tinto es un vino de aspecto brillante, vivo y glicérico, que ofrece una nariz fresca y limpia: aromas de fruta negra, aromas de fresa a copa parada, notas especiadas (y sin haber pasado por madera). Es también un vino que gana complejidad en copa: notas balsámicas, notas dulces, un toque de Sauternes incluso, de pera, de ruibarbo, de flor de naranjo; es una nariz cremosa, con un fondo de sotobosque, tiene algo de silvestre. Cortijo Los Aguilares Tinto tiene una entrada agradable y su paladar se corresponde con la nariz. De cuerpo considerable, es fresco, sabroso, redondo, bien estructurado y equilibrado, y con un interesante retrogusto: un tacto graso que asociaríamos con un vino de crianza, pero, una vez más, no lo es. Es un vino honesto, limpio, noble y rico.
