Daphne Glorian es una de los cinco pioneros o responsables de la recuperación o redescubrimiento del Priorat, en los ya lejanos años 80. Es más conocida en Estados Unidos que en España; y allí se exporta la mayor parte de la escasa producción de Clos Erasmus y Laurel, sus dos únicos vinos. No sin motivo; su marido, Eric Salomon, es uno de los principales importadores de Norteamérica, y de aquí que no deba extrañarles si las contraetiquetas de ambos vinos aparecen en inglés y con el sello de European Cellars. Clos Erasmus fue uno de los primeros vinos españoles en obtener los 100 puntos Parker, en dos añadas consecutivas, 2004 y 2005, un vino excepcionalmente rico y complejo, con fruta desbordante y una profunda mineralidad. Laurel es su segundo vino, elaborado con el vino de las barricas que se desestiman para la joya de la bodega, más algunos lotes de cepas más jóvenes. A pesar de que el precio de Laurel es cuatro veces inferior al de Clos Erasmus, Daphne Glorian pone el mismo interés y pasión en ambos. Uno de los vinos prioratinos más bien hechos y suculentos en su gama de precio que podemos encontrar hoy. Maduro, frutal y misterioso; deliciosamente clásico y paradójicamente desconocido. Envejecido durante 21 meses en depósitos troncocónicos de roble de 20 hl (50%) y en barricas seminuevas de roble francés.
