La Atalaya del Camino es un vino que impacta visualmente ya de entrada. Su intenso color picota y su opacidad nos advierte de que no nos encontramos ante un tinto convencional. En nariz los aromas de regaliz y olivas negras se fusionan con los recuerdos de tinta china y, cerrando los ojos, es fácil imaginarse una mermelada de moras y violetas, unas hojas frescas de menta, incluso un rincón de bosque recubierto de hierbas provenzales. En boca es sedoso desde la entrada hasta el final, apoyado por unos taninos voluminosos aunque amables. Denle tiempo, decántenlo y muévanlo en copa. Con aireación, las sensaciones se acrecientan y los aromas se multiplican, colocando a este tinto de viñas viejas entre los vinos más particulares de la Península Ibérica. Y guárdenlo sin miedo, pueden conservarlo durante varios años; seguirá creciendo. Envejecido durante 12 meses en barricas de roble francés.
