El Viña Pomal Crianza Centenario es un vino tinto elaborado con uvas de tempranillo procedentes de Haro, en la Rioja Alta, a más de 400 metros sobre el nivel del mar. Sus uvas maceran durante casi tres semanas y tras la fermentación del mosto, el vino descansa 18 meses en bodega, repartidos entre las barricas y la botella. De color picota con ribetes violáceos, en nariz emana aromas de frutillos silvestres y regaliz, adornados de sutiles recuerdos a violetas. La noble madera de su crianza aporta los recuerdos torrefactos a un conjunto aromático muy equilibrado. En boca es delicado y redondo, de taninos pulidos y tacto amable, con cierta sensación mineral. Conforme se aleja aparecen los recuerdos a cacao que lo convierten en verdaderamente irresistible. Envejecido durante 12 meses en barricas de roble americano. Posterior reposo en botella durante 6 meses más.

The production region of D.O.Ca. Rioja is located in Las regiones de las comunidades autónomas de La Rioja y el País Vasco mayoritariamente, y en menor medida de Navarra y Castilla y León. Por la diversidad orográfica y climática se distinguen tres subzonas de producción: Rioja Alta (76 términos municipales en la comunidad autónoma de La Rioja y 1, Miranda de Ebro, en la provincia de Burgos, Castilla y León), Rioja Baja (42 términos municipales en la comunidad autónoma de La Rioja y 8 en Navarra) y Rioja Alavesa (15 términos municipales en la provincia de Álava, País Vasco).
