The production region of A.O.C. Moulin à Vent is located in La región de Beaujolais, una comarca que produce algunos de los ejemplos más duraderos de vino Beaujolais, con algunos vinos que duran hasta diez años. Algunos productores envejecerán su Moulin-à-Vent en roble, lo que le da a estos vinos más tanino y estructura que otros vinos de Beaujolais.
