Se trata de una ginebra tipo Plymouth de 41,2 % alc./vol, obtenida por destilación tradicional en alambique de cobre y mezclada con agua del parque natural de Darmoor. Se empezo a fabricar en 1793 en Plymouth, siendo la única con esta denominación de origen. Los botánicos utilizados son enebro, corteza de naranja y limón, cilantro, raíz de angélica, raíz de florencia y cardamomo. Fue la ginebra oficial de la Royal Navy. Desde su origen se continua fabricando en el convento Black Friars. En la actualidad es propiedad del Grupo Pernod Ricard.
