Viticultura de montaña en parcelas escalonadas de tierras de pizarra. Zona Vall d’Anoia-Foix (Comtats de Barcelona). Crianza en botella con sus lías durante 2 años en la oscuridad de las cavas a temperatura natural constante de 17 grados.

El cava también se elabora en otros 159 municipios de España, de las provincias de Barcelona (63 municipios), Tarragona (52 municipios), La Rioja (18 municipios), Lérida (12 municipios), Gerona (5 municipios), Álava (3 municipios), Zaragoza (2 municipios), Navarra (2 municipios), Badajoz (1 municipio) y Valencia (1 municipio), que en su conjunto configuran la zona de producción denominada Región del Cava.
