El Calvados es un aguardiente obtenido de la destilación de la sidra, que cuenta con denominación de origen controlada (AOC), en la región francesa norte de Normandía. Los diferentes tipos de manzana se mezclan, se trituran, se prensan y se fermentan con su jugo para, posteriormente, realizar una precisa doble destilación en alambique. Dupont 15 Ans se elabora en Calvados Pays d'Auge, la zona más prestigiosa de la denominación y se ha criado durante más de 15 años en barricas de roble. De color dorado y brillante, es potente, intenso y a la vez fino en nariz donde primero aparece la madera y la vainilla para dar paso a las flores y los cítricos. En boca es suave e intenso, con toques de manzana verde, avellana y madera.
