Un homenaje al fundador de la orden monástica de los cartujanos, quienes, ya en el siglo XII fueron los primeros en cultivar y hacer vino en esta zona. Un vino elaborado, principalmente, de uva cariñena de viñedos de entre 60 y 80 años de edad. Envejecido durante 12 meses en barricas de roble francés.

The production region of D.O. Montsant is located in La comarca integrada por los municipios y bodegas que, hasta 2002, formaban la subzona Falset de la denominación de origen Tarragona. Se extiende por 16 municipios, la mayoría en la comarca del Priorato y unos pocos en la Ribera del Ebro.
