Pignatello es la variedad de uva tinta que reina en los viñedos de Trapani y, sin embargo, a pesar de esta presencia dominante, rara vez se tiene la ocasión de degustar un vino en el que esta uva se exprese en toda su pureza. Barraco Pignatello es una de esas raras oportunidades. Un vino en el que, gracias a la sensibilidad del productor, las características de la uva se expresan en todo su esplendor. El vino fermenta a partir de levaduras indígenas y envejece durante varios meses en acero inoxidable y sin ninguna crianza en madera con tal de acentuar los rasgos de la variedad. En copa se muestra de un color rojo frambuesa con aromas nítidos y fragantes a fresas, grosellas y arándanos; la influencia del mar no tarda en llegar con poderosas bocanadas de yodo y, tras ella, otros recuerdos de tabaco, regaliz, tinta china y maquis mediterráneo. En boca no traiciona las expectativas y nos encontramos con un vino afrutado y fresco que hace su entrada con gran impulso. Es vibrante, sabroso y con taninos bien equilibrados que hacen de él un vino estimulante para disfrutar sorbo a sorbo.
