El Selección Especial de Abadía Retuerta es el vino que más y mejor ha evolucionado de esta bodega. También es su vino más representativo, conocido y reconocido, además de un buen ejemplo para demostrar cómo la naturaleza no entiende de fronteras. Los viñedos de Abadía Retuerta están situados justo fuera de los límites de la DO Ribera del Duero, pero sus vinos exhiben una estructura, una potencia y un carácter muy similar a la de otros sí acogidos por esta afamada denominación. Compruébenlo sino con su Selección Especial, un vino corpulento y especiado aromáticamente, en el que los aromas frutales se entremezclan de forma armónica con notas balsámicas, tostadas y de regaliz, y con una particularidad: se elabora con una mezcla de tempranillo, cabernet sauvignon (15%) y syrah (10%). Envejecido durante 18 meses en barricas de roble francés y americano.
