Los vinos de Ribeira Sacra no cesan de conquistar a un público cada vez más amplio y se va confirmando como una denominación privilegiada de Galicia. Tienen un carácter muy particular, son auténticos, honestos, con producciones muy limitadas, mimadas, graduaciones muy moderadas, frescos, accesibles... Prueben este Sílice y, a pesar de no estar acogido a la denominación, reconocerán en él su carácter sacro. Con este nombre, esperamos un vino mineral. Por supuesto. Lo es. Mineral pero también ahumado, tanto, que a ciegas dudaríamos si no es un vino siciliano o canario pues nos recuerda a vinos de suelos volcánicos. Fresco, profundo, con una mencía vegetal muy seductora, golosa, y una complejidad de aromas que va todavía más allá: fruta roja muy fresca, madura y jugosa (viva, con chispa), notas de carne asada, de sotobosque, de tierra humedecida tras la lluvia... Es un vino con "pedigrí": terruño atlántico. Sílice es profundo y oscuro en color, y oscuro y profundo en nariz. Delicioso en boca. Atlántico con todas las letras y personalidad no le falta en absoluto. Amable, jugoso, intenso, con un equilibrio amargor-dulzor fantástico, se bebe con una facilidad y un placer tremendo, persiste y persiste. Para la crianza sólo se emplean barricas usadas, con muy poco aporte tánico. La madera nueva dominaría la estructura y aromas del vino.
